Getting a Refund?

If you are getting a tax refund, it is likely you may have enough money to make a down payment to own a home.  Today, there are programs that allow buyers to put 3% down, and others that offer up to $15,000 of assistance to help 1st time home buyers.

Steps to Follow

  1. Contact Jennifer Card at 386-566-8091 to create a plan moving forward.  This conversation is usually about 5 minutes.
  2. Reach out to mortgage brokers  to get preapproved.  During this discussion, you will want to be honest about your credit history, amount of money you have to put down, etc.  This will enable them to quickly put you into the right program causing you less stress throughout the process. Also ask what price range or locations you are able to consider.
  3. Begin searching your price range and locations at Also let Jennifer know what your range and locations are so that our team can be on the look out for anything new.

Pay Less than Rent

We just sold a home to a young family.  Not only did they only come out of pocket about $2,000, but they found a 3 bedroom 2 bath home with an office and a fenced yard for their dogs.  Their payment is less than the rent on their 2 bedroom apartment.  They are so excited to close on Friday.
